SOLSC Day 23 of 31 Blame It On The Snow

I think I’ll blame it on the snow.
Driving home in a blustery white swirl
seems to have smeared white out
        on any creative thoughts
 that might have been
              sprouting in my head.
       Renewed slush,
                    cars in roadside banks
                              stole my focus.
I think I’ll blame it on the snow.

  1. I love this post! A great poem that gives your reader some good mental images. I especially love the phrase "smeared white out on any creative thoughts." Perfect. I also understand - we got more snow and ice last night - yuck!

  2. Hi Sue,

I wish I could put together words like this when the snow erased my creativity. I love the way the first and last lines hug the thoughts in between. Hoping the snow melts soon and we find inspiration waiting underneath!

  3. You have found a creative, meaningful, and beautiful way to express a negative feeling, I think that snow can't bring you down. Thanks to the snow!

    A beautiful poem. Congratulations!
